MENACatalyst’s UAE Pitch Challenge-Ramallah

Ramallah, Palestine, Feb. 3, 2019 – MENACatalyst’s UAE Pitch Challenge series concluded in Ramallah, and featured a group of passionate entrepreneurs pitching for their future. The third installment of the pitch challenge series, the UAE Pitch Challenge will take some of the most innovative, high-potential startups emerging from Palestine to the UAE to take part in a series of organized events. Finalists will receive the opportunity to participate in ambassador pitching sessions, and most importantly connect with some of the most prominent business leaders, industry partners, investors and philanthropists emerging from the Palestinian diaspora in the UAE.  

The event received strong support within the Palestinian startup scene, as well as amongst Palestinian entrepreneurs worldwide. With over 50 high-potential applicants, only startups with the highest viability and marketplace potential were invited to compete as semi-finalists.

The event kicked-off with welcoming remarks offered by MENACatalyst to participants, including, semi-finalists, judges and all attendees. MENACatalyst then moved on to highlight previous pitch challenges and international demo events, organized in both Santiago, Chile, and Dubai, UAE, and their positive impact on the landscape of Palestinian entrepreneurship. A brief introductory statement offered by the panel of judges was followed-up by the main pitching event.

Semi-finalists brought out their best, and showcased their talent, innovation, and ambition to take their startups to the UAE and achieve next level success. From on-the-way delivery services, personal finance platforms, and task management aides, to environmental sustainability, health and wellness solutions, and food security, pitching startups offered technologically driven solutions to address some of the most pressing issues affecting not only consumers but society at large.

The UAE Pitch Challenge and accompanying Demo events, are organized to enhance the viability and visibility of Palestinian startups and entrepreneurs and connect them with a committed diaspora community of business professionals, investors, mentors and philanthropists.
