Ramallah, Palestine – MENACatalyst was honored to meet with the Chilean Consul-General, Mr. Manuel Lara at the Chilean Representative Office in Ramallah. In attendance were a select team from MENACatalyst as well as the winners of the Santiago Pitch Challenge. The reception was organized by the Chilean Representative office to commend MENACatalyst for their efforts in establishing business ties with Chile and creating opportunities for the Palestinian diaspora in Chile to connect and collaborate with promising new startups in Palestine.

MENACatalyst also offered their thanks and appreciation for the kind reception received at the Chilean Representative Office and for the efforts the Chilean Consul-General, Mr. Manuel Lara and his team exerted for the timely issuing of visas for all startup participants.

The winning startups of the Santiago Pitch Challenge have expressed their excitement towards meeting business leaders from the Palestinian diaspora in Chile. Furthermore, the startups have taken the opportunity to convey their aspirations towards invaluable mentorship opportunities, making long-lasting business contacts, scaling up their startups and accessing new markets.

The Santiago Pitch Challenge was held in multiple cities throughout Palestine and featured over 250 high impact social and tech startups. A panel of judges consisting of local and Chilean based impact investors and business experts lead the jury panel to select the winning startups. In the end only 10 of the most competitive startups where chosen to travel to Santiago, Chile, for a 4-day demo event to meet with high-impact investors and business leaders from amongst the Palestinian diaspora. Winning startups earned the opportunity to create strategic connections with the Palestinian diaspora in Chile to elevate their startups visibility and viability.
