MENACatalyst Fuels Collaboration and Innovation at Palestine STEAM Event
Ramallah, Palestine – April 4, 2024 – MENACatalyst, a dedicated advocate for youth empowerment in the MENA region with a focus on Palestine, recently hosted a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) event during Ramadan. This gathering brought together 100 students from six Palestinian schools, fostering collaboration and igniting their interest in digital skills and tackling real-world challenges.
The event offered a dynamic learning experience that went beyond traditional lectures. Students participated in interactive workshops led by industry experts, gaining valuable knowledge in digital media, tech, and STEAM fields. This newfound knowledge was put into practice as students formed teams, brainstormed solutions to environmental and social issues, and presented their ideas to their peers. This fostered a spirit of teamwork, innovation, and critical thinking, aligning with MENACatalyst's ongoing Palestine Youth Digital Innovators Program – a comprehensive 24-month initiative designed to equip young minds (ages 14-16) with the skills they need to thrive in the digital era.
Building Bridges and Skills:
The event wasn't just about acquiring skills; it was about building connections. For the first time, students from participating schools met and collaborated with like-minded peers, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose. The atmosphere was further enriched by a special Ramadan meal (Iftar) shared by the entire group.
A Celebration of Collaboration:
This STEAM event serves as a significant element of MENACatalyst's year-round program, which offers students a continuous path to learning and growth through summer camps, hackathons, and competitions. This event celebrates collaboration and idea-sharing, preparing Palestinian youth to become the future leaders and innovators of their communities.
By equipping young minds with the digital skills and collaborative spirit they need, MENACatalyst is fueling a passion for innovation in Palestine's youth.
